This Tuesday 23 November, we mark the fourth anniversary of a special gathering held in Saint Peter’s Basilica with our Holy Father Pope Francis in 2017, to pray for peace and reconciliation in two of the war-ravaged countries of the African Continent: South Sudan and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. These countries continue to suffer from the aftermath of war and from ongoing conflict, with the people themselves being victimized by the situation. We invite you to view the video of this moving prayer service at this link, to make the situation of these countries a priority in your prayer, and to consider other ways in which you can support the work of peace and reconciliation through non-violence in the conflict ridden areas of the world.
