The Solidarity Pastoral Service team, in cooperation with the Catholic Diocese of Tambura Yambio, organised a major programme from 1 to 7 September 2024, aimed at empowering over 800 Holy Childhood children in seven parishes. The initiative was characterised by the training of animators, engaging workshops and spiritual education, promoting a strong sense of community among the participants. During the programme, the children received prayer materials, meals and sports items, increasing their enthusiasm for learning and participation. They shared personal challenges, including recounting their own experiences of poverty and living in single-parent families, and recognising the importance of community support.
