A workshop in Riimenze to protect the earth and optimize resources

In July 2026, beneficiaries of the Sustainable Agriculture Project in Riimenze (SAP-R) were intensely engaged in horticultural activities. They paid particular attention to staking tomatoes and weeding cabbages, sukumawiki and other vegetables. These operations are essential to ensure healthy and vigorous crop growth.

In addition, the Livelihoods Manager and the Monitoring and Evaluation Manager co-facilitated a training session for women’s horticulture groups on soil and water conservation. These training activities aimed to explain how to control soil erosion and restore soil fertility using organic manure.
