At Riimenze Nursery School, the school year goes on in high spirits!

In South Sudan, a country that continues to rebuild its future after years of conflict, early childhood education is key to individual and collective development. Nursery school is not just the first step in a child’s educational journey: it is a place where children learn to live together, respect each other, share and grow as a community.
At the Saint Dominic Nursery School in Riimenze, every day is an opportunity for discovery. The young students learn not only to read, write and do arithmetic, but also the basics of personal hygiene, civic and environmental education and mutual respect. Through play, manual activities, singing and dancing, they develop creativity and cultural identity in a safe and stimulating environment.
This school is an example of how, even in difficult contexts, commitment to early childhood education can lay the foundations for a more just, peaceful and supportive society.
