| In late December 2023, 19 members of Solidarity with South Sudan (SwSS) gathered at the Good Shepherd Peace Centre in Kit, South Sudan, for their Annual Assembly. The participants represented all four ministries of SwSS and 15 nationalities.
The main topic was the presentation and elaboration of the Strategic Plan. This was well accepted and good progress was made in drafting During the Assembly, Sr Jane Rose, Sr Brygida and Sr Frances (Shu Fang), who finished their ministry with Solidarity, have been thanked for their passionate commitment, and new members, Sr Jessy, Sr Monica, Sr Julia (absent on this occasion), Sr Sherly and Fr Emmanuel were warmly welcomed. The Assembly was also an occasion to celebrate Soldiarity’s 15 years of presence in South Sudan. The welcome from the Solidarity community at the Good Shepherd Peace Centre was excellent and people appeared enthusiastic about mixing with Solidarity members from other communities and relaxing together.
