Thanks to the support of our donors and in particular of Sudan Relief Fund, at the Solidarity Teacher Training College (STTC) the construction of a new building is nearly completed. It contains two large classrooms that will be able to accommodate about 80 pupils and a small room that will be used as the Principal’s office and for staff meetings.
Having two new such large classrooms will be of great benefit to be able to simultaneously conduct classes for students of several courses that often share the same program (Pre-service, In-service and Diploma program). But also to host examinations and student meetings. Finally, the increased space will allow STTC to reach more beneficiaries from the neighboring community to continue the courses, already started a couple of years ago, in handicrafts, computer skills and English language aimed at young people and women. The construction of the building is in its final stages and we hope to inaugurate it on this coming 19 March.
