 From 20 to 25 October 2025, all members of Solidarity with South Sudan working in South Sudan gathered at the Good Shepherd Peace Centre in Kit for their Annual General Assembly. The meeting, chaired by the new Executive Director, Father Hyacinthe Loua, SJ, had as its theme: ‘Solidarity with South Sudan: towards a new paradigm in a new context’.
During the week, participants reflected on the past, present and future of the mission, deepening Solidarity’s vision, identity and perspectives in the current context of South Sudan. The days alternated between moments of sharing, meditation and prayer, culminating in a time of spiritual reflection led by Father Loua and a Mass of thanksgiving celebrated by Bishop Santo Loku Pio Doggale, Auxiliary Bishop of Juba. The assembly ended in an atmosphere of joy and gratitude, with a decidedly positive and inspiring outcome for the future, giving new impetus to the common mission of hope, formation and reconciliation for the people of South Sudan.
