Fr. Mike shared with us his new poem to celebrate the Independence of the South Sudan.

El misterio de los pobres es este: que ellos son Jesús, y lo que haces por ellos, lo haces por Él. Es la única manera que tenemos de conocer y creer en nuestro amor. El misterio de la pobreza es el que al participar en ella, al hacernos pobres al dar a los demás, aumentamos nuestro conocimiento y nuestra fe en el amor.
“Now, we have the opportunity to make our lives better than that of our ancestors and we will be able to teach the younger generations so that their lives are much better than ours.”
