| On the occasion of Giving Tuesday, Solidarity is taking part in the photo contest “Shoot the generosity”, a project to raise awareness of solidarity towards the most fragile promoted by the AIFR Foundation, which will donate a prize of €3000 to the organisation that receives the most votes in the photo contest.

The photo chosen by Solidarity “Un nuovo inizio ” (“A New Beginning”) shows the smile of Gatchak and his sister Nykhan, aged 6 and 5, rejoicing as they hold the baby chicks distributed to families as part of the Sustainable Agriculture Project. The project offers the South Sudanese population, hard hit by armed conflicts, floods and poverty, the opportunity to acquire skills in agriculture and livestock keeping; it supports women in particular by promoting the start-up of small businesses, and educating them in the correct use of local resources through organic and sustainable production. |
