| This year we celebrate a special milestone: the centenary of World Mission Sunday (1926-2026). Born a century ago to renew the commitment of closeness and solidarity toward every community, this occasion calls us once again to turn our eyes to the peripheries of the world. In harmony with this year’s theme, “One in Christ, United in Mission”, for Solidarity with South Sudan, this day represents the perfect opportunity to share a story where joining forces translates into concrete presence, proximity, and hope.
Solidarity was born as an inter-congregational mission: an experience that unites religious women and men from different spiritual families, going beyond the boundaries of individual institutes to focus on a single shared goal. It is a daily demonstration that collaboration and fraternity can make a difference even in the most complex realities. Behind every Solidarity project, whether training teachers, midwives, or farmers, lies the daily commitment and silent courage of our missionaries on the ground. Living and working in a challenging context like South Sudan requires unwavering dedication: it is the choice to stay, to walk side by side with local communities day after day, sharing their challenges and upholding their dignity.
Join our mission and support our missionaries in South Sudan!
