The dragon fruit is a rare crop in Western Equatoria State and is the first of its kind to be introduced to the Sustainable Agriculture Project (SAP-R) demonstration farm in Riimenze. Renowned for its rich nutritional value and potential health benefits, it is also a highly profitable crop that strengthens the farm’s economic sustainability. As dragon fruit plants have weak, climbing stems, they require sturdy structures to grow effectively. To support this expanding cultivation, the SAP-R has begun the construction and installation of additional concrete support posts, laying the foundations for a higher and sustainable yield.. Find out more about the SAP-R; read the latest NEWSLETTER from the Riimenze Community. Thank you for continuing to support our projects in South Sudan.
