A message for Laudato Sì from young people in South Sudan

We are pleased to share a beautiful VIDEO produced as part of the project “Workshop on Laudato Sì – Our Common Home”, carried out by the Religious Superiors’ Association of South Sudan (RSASS), promoted by Solidarity with South Sudan and financed by Missio Aachen.

In the framework of the Laudato Sì Awareness Programme, the project aimed at translating the Laudato Sì goals into languages spoken in South Sudan, in response to Pope Francis’ call to care for our common home. The team chose one language per diocese, which included Bari  – Juba Archdiocese, Madi-Torit Diocese, Arabic – -Wau Diocese, Dinka–Rumbek Diocese, Nuer- Malakal Diocese. Thanks to the students of St. Mary’s University, songs were produced in Arabic and English and a song was included from the Junior youths, the Missionary Youth Movement who sang in the English language. The project provided young people with a platform to interact with documents, encourage local music and dance, celebrate South Sudan’s cultural diversity, and reach out to Diaspora people.
