Dear friends of Solidarity with South Sudan,
Wishing you a good start to the new year, we are happy to start again with our periodical “Change Stories“, stories of our beneficiaries directly from the field. Today we share the words of Mary Mindraa Jino Gama, secretary of the Youth Office of the Archdiocese of Juba, who plays a key role in connecting young people from 21 parishes. Besides her administrative tasks, she actively supports youth initiatives, from leadership training to peace-building discussions. Her personal experience as a refugee, scarred by war and displacement, fuels her passion for youth empowerment. Through the Church, young people find comfort, support and opportunities for growth. Mary’s commitment also extends outside the church: she founded Equal Opportunity Aid to assist women in prison, offering them skills, education and psychosocial support. Her story is a testimony to the resilience of young Sudanese and the transformative power of community and faith. Read it HERE! Thank you for continuing to support our projects in South Sudan. A small gesture helps to change a life.
