Cultivating resilience: Empowering communities with pest management skills

As part of the Sustainable Agriculture Project in Riimenze , recent initiatives have focused on equipping communities with vital knowledge on pest control and management. Agricultural training beneficiaries from Bazungua payam in the Yambio region, for example, actively participated in an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) training course. This programme provided them with sustainable and effective strategies to combat pests, with the aim of increasing crop yields and promoting healthier farming practices in their localities. By equipping local farmers with essential knowledge and skills, the foundation is laid for long-term agricultural success in the region.
