| Today, on International International Day of Rural Women, we pay tribute to the women of South Sudan, who work hard to feed their families and build peace. In our Sustainable Agriculture Project in Rimenze (SAP-R), we’re proud that 63% of the beneficiaries are women, who are learning how to farm effectively and productively. These women are a driving force for community development, as they acquire skills that ensure food security and economic independence; they learn to work with local resources, transforming them into nutritious foods that provide a better diet for their children and families.
Celebrating this day means recognizing the crucial role of rural women as agents of development, nutrition and resilience, especially in a complex context such as South Sudan. Support rural women: they are the ones who cultivate hope for the future.
