The Catholic Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Tombura-Yambio has said that the planned ecumenical papal trip will help the people of God in the East-African nation to live their “faith with conviction”.
Interviewed by ACI Africa, Fr. Jim Greene, the Executive Director of Solidarity with South Sudan, said the coming of Pope Francis to South Sudan is “a huge occasion” for the people of God in the country.
Pope Francis has said that he is looking forward to visiting South Sudan this summer together with the archbishop of Canterbury and the moderator of the Church of Scotland in a “pilgrimage of peace.”
