Strengthening Communities Through Trauma Healing

In April in Wau, a significant workshop on trauma healing involved 50 catechists from nine communities in the diocese. Organized by the Solidarity Pastoral Team and the National Pastoral Office, this intense course provided essential tools to understand and process the inner wounds caused by the persistent conflicts in South Sudan. Through theoretical and practical sessions based on “Psychosocial Support”, catechists explored the Church’s role in healing, the importance of reconciliation and the power of prayer rituals, thus becoming more effective guides for their communities.
