| Today, 17 September, we celebrate the World Patient Safety Day, an occasion dedicated this year by the WHO to the crucial issue of safety in paediatric and neonatal care.
Children’s health is a global priority, but in South Sudan the challenge is enormous. Access to safe, quality care is often limited, and the lives of the youngest children are at risk. In this context, the Catholic Health Training Institute (CHTI) in Wau is a key reference point for the country, as it trains highly qualified nurses and midwives, professionals who work every day to ensure that children receive the safest and most competent care possible. Their dedication contributes significantly to reducing infant mortality and building better healthcare throughout the country.
