International Day of the Midwife: the future is born in their hands

To mark International Day of the Midwife, we wish to celebrate these professionals, guardians of life and vital pillars of community health. Investing in their training is a concrete step towards development: a qualified midwife not only assists with childbirth, but also ensures safety and vital support, even in often challenging circumstances. At the Catholic Health Training Institute in Wau, promoted by Solidarity, we see every day the dedication of students preparing to accompany every new mother and her baby with competence and care. To all midwives, and to those studying to become one, we extend our thanks for their courage and daily commitment to protecting life.
