New Tools, Lasting Impact: Empowering Teachers with New Educational Resources

Starting July 2026, Year 2 Inservice and Preservice students at Solidarity Teacher Training College (STTC) will become the very first groups to receive the new Solidarity with South Sudan Teacher’s Scheme of Work Book and its companion volume, the Teacher’s Lesson Plan Book.

Prepared by the Academic Affairs Department in Yambio, with invaluable input from Inservice in Wau, these essential resources are firmly grounded in the South Sudan National Curriculum. They carry the official approval for teacher training from both the University of Juba School of Education and the Ministry of General Education and Instruction in Juba. Adding to their community spirit, each volume has been meticulously printed and bound by the Salesians at the Don Bosco Vocational Training Centre in Wau.

What makes these books truly transformative is their thoughtful “teach yourself” design. Featuring clear, step-by-step instructions alongside guided templates, they explain exactly how, what, and why to prepare every section of a professional document.

With these practical resources in hand, STTC graduates will enter the classroom with exemplary schemes of work and lesson plans, ready not only to lead with excellence, but also to mentor and share these vital practices with fellow teachers across the region.
