 Solidarity with South Sudan was privileged to be present with an information stand at the USG (Union of Superiors General) Assembly held in Sacrofano (Rome) from 21 to 23 May 2025, which this spring had the theme ‘Witnesses of Hope’. A highlight was the contribution of Sister Gretta Fernandes SSpS, a Board member of Solidarity, who led one of the opening prayers of the assembly and presented an overview of Solidarity’s core activities, communicating effectively the dedication of the organisation and the transformative power of its mission.
The event was a valuable opportunity to reaffirm Solidarity’s ongoing commitment to the people of South Sudan and to present its vital work to those unfamiliar with the organization, not least through its stand, a meeting point for dialogue and information sharing. We thank the general secretary Fr Mario Zanotti OSB Cam. and his staff for welcoming us once again with warmth and a collaborative spirit.
