South Sudan launches its Ten-Year Development Plan

The Ministry of Finance and Planning of South Sudan has launched the South Sudan Development Plan (SSDP) 2026-2036, a 10-year strategic plan aimed at consolidating peace and security and building a prosperous and productive society.

According to Finance Minister Athian Ding Athian, the SSDP is not just a document but a strategic framework designed to translate the aspirations of the people into reality. The plan’s success will depend on strong partnerships among institutions, civil society, the private sector, and the international community.

While acknowledging the country’s progress, UN representative Anita Kiki Gbeho emphasized that resolving differences through dialogue and adhering to the Peace Agreement will be critical for achieving the plan’s goals.
