Health is wealth: the Riimenze Nutrition Programme brings hope and smiles!

Better health brings smiles back to children and their families. Over the past few months, as part of the Nutrition Programme of the Sustainable Agriculture Project in Riimenze (SAP-R), a major initiative has been carried out to support children suffering from nutritional deficiencies in four localities.
By measuring weight and using the MUAC (mid-upper arm circumference) method, children suffering from malnutrition were identified and provided with high-nutritional-value supplements such as moringa-based products, peanut butter and soya paste, all produced at the project’s farm.
Further monitoring revealed a marked improvement in the children’s health, demonstrating the tangible impact of prevention and treatment measures for the most vulnerable.
