Laudato Sì Week: Appeal from the Solidarity Executive Director (Day 2)

For more than 15 years we have been looking after our “Common House”. The work is considerable and the resources we need are constantly increasing. The many obstacles we have encountered over the years at national and global level have not stopped us.

We see it in the 769 new primary school teachers trained at the Solidarity STTC school in Yambio.
We see it in the 307 nurses and midwives trained at the Catholic Health Training Institute in Wau.
We see it every day in the sustainable agriculture project in Riimenze, where thousands of families have been given hope and learned how precious our land can be as a key partner in our existence.
We see it in the thousands of people, adults and young people, in all the dioceses of Southern Sudan, who have received pastoral support and learned to overcome the trauma of decades of atrocious war.
We see this in the peace and mutual respect that we promote every day.

In this endeavour, we continue to need your support: it is essential if we are to give our best in caring for our Common House!

We therefore ask you, once again, to answer our call for help and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts, on behalf of the people of South Sudan, to be part of this great family of Solidarity with South Sudan!
