We are pleased to report a prayer for South Sudan shared by the Sant’Egidio Foundation for Peace and Dialogue. Let’s pray for South Sudan in unity with the South Sudan Council of Churches:
“Peace be with you” said the risen Jesus. Peace be with you in South Sudan and here where we pray today.
Come Lord Jesus, come
Peace we can’t see because we are divided by sin, pride and pain. Let’s repent here and now. Let peace come in South Sudan and here where we pray today.
Come Lord Jesus, come.
Peace is a gift of the Spirit of life who welcomes and forgives. May we share in peace in South Sudan and here where we pray.
Come Lord Jesus, come.
Blessed be the peacemakers of South Sudan and everywhere, give them courage and hope O Lord, make them patient and fruitful for the good of all.
