First Year Students Practices in Skill Labs

First-year nursing students are undertaking clinical teaching in our simulation and skills laboratories. These controlled and supportive environments are crucial in enabling them to practice and perfect essential nursing procedures. Through the use of manikins and simulated scenarios, students develop fundamental skills such as administering injections, wound care and patient assessment.

Tutors provide immediate feedback, ensuring that students become confident and competent while adhering to safety standards and best practices. This experiential learning approach bridges the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, preparing students for the challenges of real-world healthcare.
